since chiban has decided to not work, me and manpreet have decided to just do the jobs we've been assigned and turn those in withougth chiban.

december 4

today, i added the pics that i needed, except for the calander which manpreet is going to do tomarrow.
my buttons stoped working, but i managed to fix them.
chiban has still not started working.

november 30

today for our site two project, i finished creating buttons more specifically, the slider buttons. i was having trouble getting the track team picture because the pic wasnt showing up on the school website. i tried to paste the roster on dreamweaver, but that wouldnt work either. manpreet finished the background, but he plans on editing that tomarrow

november 29

today, we have started working on our second group project. our project will be on the paint branch highschool track and field team. manpreet has finished creating the background, and i have not to do since our content editor chiban is not here and therfore none of our pages have been finished.

November 15

Today i worked really hard and finished putting in the text for Two pages. i created links for the authors that influenced me, and completed the media page while chiban worked on the background and manpreet worked on making the links between the different pages.

today, we spent the class finishing up our bio page, and then we started on our contacts page. but we got side tracked and did not finish it. we will try to finish this project soon!

Today in Web dvlp, my group finished the first page of our promotional website, including the text, logos, and copywrite info, and our background. we had some trouble with the background chiban sent us, but we got that solved. we tried to go ahead and start on our second page, and then link our first page to it, but didn't have enough time.

today in web site development me and my partners managed (somehow) to come up a slogan-Who ya gonna call? Web Ghost-and a company name-WEB GHOST-and a motto-you got problems, we have a problem. we have started to come up with our first page, and will most likely have that done tomarrow.

Today, i had trouble finding a picture to use for the "haunted house" project. i searched all the picture sharing sites that i know of, but found no houses to my demonic liking. although, i found quite a bit of demonic beings to use in this project, whats the point if i havn't got anywhwere to put them. i suppose i could just draw a house, but it would be rather difficult to do seeing as how bad fireworks sucks when it comes to making pictures.

Today, we made image flips in Web site development. after we watched the teacher, i decided on what my haunted house would look like, and then created a ghost. i made it to where if i pull my mouse over the door to the house, the ghost would appear. i then desighned the 10 places where an image would flip into the house, and tommarow i need to creat the actual images.

How did you go about testing your program? what were the results of that testing?

Today i was working in Fireworks, trying to create my animation. to test it, i had to press the "play" button and when i did; it turned out to have quite a few glitches in it and it wasn't as smooth as i wouldve liked. turns out there were a few screens in which i had unintensionally moved link and the spaces between movements were to far apart. i needed to reedit the pictures for every screen in order to clear up the glitches.

What choices did you face in developing your solutions, and how did you choose among them?

choices that i had to face today were; what should the theme for my animation be? should i use pictures or should i free hand? eventually i went and logged into deviant art and searched "zelda". i found a picture of zelda, a spoof of the i-pod comercials, where it looked like he was holding his sword like a baseball-bat. eventually i came up with the theme of "link baseball".

what problems did you encounter while developing your solution? How do you plan to overcome them?/how did you overcome them?

the only problem i encountered today in class was getting the animation to move smoothly, instead of having it jump from point to point.
i overcame this by making the gap between the befor and after images smaller, instead of having it large. the only problem in this is that it takes fore ever to do.

how did you go about testing your program? what were the results of that testing

i went about testing my program by changing the propertys of the text--heading, and paragraphs--and then turning to the design sheet to view how it looked. the results of that testing were that it looked as i wanted it, and that it actually worked.

what progress did you encounter while developing your solution? what needs to be completed next class.



i actually didn't make that much progress today in class. this is because i needed to make up some work that i hadn't done, icluding the 2nd assignment and the html construction quiz. tomarrow i need to do my best to complete the new assignment.

What choices did you face in developing your solution, and how did you choose among them?

the only real choice that i had to make today, was what random text i sh ould put into the new project. so, first i decided to scribble random jibberish, then i decided to give you something nice to read. an excerpt from a new story of mine, "teen angst"

problems that i encountered while developing my solution were : i couldn't view my "project one website" on the internet, and i had some trouble answering the questions in the packet. tomarrow i plan to repost the website on bravehost, and then to check it on the web. for the packet, i just had to read the information two-three times over.

How did you go about testing your program? What were the results of this testing?

today in class, i created an account with a webhost. i didn't get to actually test my program, because befor i could the bell rang. Although, i did manage to upload my project one to the desktop folder in my webhost account, i couldn't do anything about it because i didn't know.
i will halv to test my program tommarrow in class.

What progress did you make today on your solution? What needs to be completed nect class?

today in class, i managed to get all the definitions for the new webhost project. I went to dictionary.com in order to find them, because it was difficult for me to navigate the webstite that you provided. Tomarrow in class, i need to finish getting all the information for my webhosting sites.

What choices did you face in developing your solution, and how did you choose among them?

today in class i had to devide what websites to use in finding webhosts. Me and branden both helped eachother, but on most of the sites the information was complete bogus. on some of the sites themselves, we needed to create an account befor we could even view the information on its hosting. eventually though, we both found sites with the information we needed.

What problems did you encounter while developing your solution? How do you plan to overcome them/how did you overcome them?

I encountered problems like finding the proper information on the webhosting sites, and recognizing the information itself (like bandwidth etc. ). I overcame these problems simply by copying and pasting the information onto the assignment, instead of reading it and trying to figure it out myself.
